Heart

Like any ‘person’, we as a company have a heart. And we believe entirely in using our gifts in a way that benefit the momentum of good. We’ve had the privilege of developing messaging and momentum-building graphics for several Tucson non-profits, and have enjoyed every minute of it.

Currently, our endeavors span not only to our own community where thousands of refugees are relocated away from harm…but to a little known country called Burundi. There, “life is not soft” as Patrick, age 17, explained to me one day in a dirty internet hut as we discussed his future life – and taught him how to set up an email account.

The parent organization is called Goshen, and within this umbrella there are distinct efforts to help refugees resettle life in Tucson, a commitment to help the people still retained in the refugee camp at Ngozi, a church in the capital city of Bujumbura where genocide and war have ravaged the nation, as well as a home for 19 kids left in the wake of this – all facing the infrastructure of extreme poverty.

Having made 2 trips thus far, with the intent of bringing hugs, creativity and hope – we are head over heels to see these efforts continue. We’ll bring you news, ideas for funding – like our Amazing coffee packages, and creative endeavors such as PSAs, mini-documentaries, and health and humanitarian campaigns

This is Nnissa, one of the 19 reasons our heart beats for Burundi.Nnissa in Burundi

Coffee!!

It makes the world go round. At least, Lilly’s world. And thus – we bring to you a artisan roasted option that not only makes your day much more productive, but impacts a nation, and funds an orphanage. I don’t know how one cup of liquid could possibly do more. We feature the Burundi Blend here – but there are a whole lot of options available through Beansmith (our artisan roaster offering us wholesale deals!).
